Is Teddy B really MJ...
I have often wondered or just good mates...
Re: Is Teddy B really MJ...
Haha no. I’ve met Teddy a number of times. He’s a lovely guy.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Yeah, but have you ever been in a room with him and Mick at the same time?
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead
Pex Lives!

Yes but now that you mention it, one would go to the bathroom and the other would come out. And Teddy looks a lot like Mick but wears a hat.

Ha! Just good mates. Mick wouldn't waste this much time online.
Here's a fun picture of me without a hat at Electric Lady studios with MJ, Paul (in a hat!) and Ian Rubbish (aka Fred Armisen). Matey, I wouldn't say I look much like Mick, hairline aside.
And Flex, as for IMCTers, Gil's been in the same room with both of us, as has Kaleb. I'm sure there are others.

I can confirm that Teddy B is not Mick… but, with that said, I have yet to be in the same room with them, just a few near misses… on second thought, something might be afoot

Definitely a great photo and that Ian Rubbish interview is so funny. I hope you managed to get one of his LPs with the free money includedFlex wrote: ↑01 Sep 2022, 10:02pmHmmm... Same building though, right Sonny?sonnyburnit wrote: ↑01 Sep 2022, 9:36pmI can confirm that Teddy B is not Mick… but, with that said, I have yet to be in the same room with them, just a few near misses… on second thought, something might be afoot
BTW, I do so wish they’d released all the music and footage from that Ian Rubbish session. Mick was already in full recording mode, with Fred drumming (as many of you know, he’s a real drummer), Paul playing bass, and Mick wanting to do guitar overdubs he had ideas for that sounded very London Calling. I have a couple of short videos I shot on my phone. I don’t want to post them to YouTube or the like but don’t know how to put them up here otherwise.

Have you been mates with Mick since the Clash days Teddy? How did you meet? Also has Mick ever listened to any of Markeys remasters?

Here's a link to a clip of Ian Rubbish doing Hey Policeman! I picked one where Fred is singing rather than drumming.

Here's a very short one of It's A Lovely Day with Fred on drums & singing a guide vocal.
