Ha!

The album is due in September. I don't if it's only the vinyl that's been delayed or the whole launch.

That is a shame
It feels like to me its just bad luck that Don Letts must carry with him this i remember used to happen all the time with BAD albums i was always disappointed with there albums missing release dates and then the album turning up later unannounced without advertisement months later.

It of course also happened to the reunion of BAD what ever did happen to that new material album that was spoken of that never got released. They had title tracks for that album so they much have the songs all written ready to be released.

Lets hope Dons Album will be out early next year i am really looking forward to this.

That's bad news, I've been looking forward to this. This may also be the last recordings made by Terry Hall.

I think it is.

Speaking of Terry I've been playing the new Fun Boy 3 box set that arrived today. Definitely under appreciated.

Amazon have the release date 20th September.

Others have it listed as Friday 22nd September and some state the 29th.

On the Rebel Dread site I can't find any further info.

The email I received informed that the vinyl was put back to February 2024.

Still would like to know if the whole release is put back.

This is the email I received and it only mentions the coloured vinyl.

Dear Customer,

This is a notification to let you know that the release date of Outta Sync Coloured has been changed to 09/02/2024.

My copy arrives Monday and I am excited! It took me a while to realize it and appreciate it but they continued the Specials work and were super experimental at times.

I think the name and the image put people off.

I think they were great. Very rhythmic and brave. The box set has everything and is a treat.

I liked Colourfield too. Terry had pretty good taste.

Everything Terry got involved with has merit.

One of my favorite lyricists, and a massive influence on me -- similar to Joe, in is ability to paint a detailed picture in only a few lines, as we see in FBS songs like The Things We Do, or The Farmyard Connection ("They smoked all the joints, but they missed all the points, points, points, points, points" -- priceless!), to name two of my top examples. Unlike a lot of their peers, I think a lot of the FB3 stuff has aged better, and seems more relevant now, if anything, than it did at the time, whether it's the social commentary stuff (The Lunatics Have Taken Over The Asylum), or Well Fancy That, one of the most chilling songs about sex abuse ever written.

Agreed a fantastic honest and always pertinent lyricist.
