Hello,

Thank you too much for this, Marky! I've liked (most of) this album from the release. This opens it up more!

White Man pointed out a spelling mistake on the rear cover "Sufragette City" was missing an "F". You can re-tag the Wav file.

Just like to point out that if my teacher (who I trusted) had not gone off the rails and become a hobo this may not have happened.

Anyway here's the corrected one.

Thank you for sharing this Marky. I think this maybe the first time I've listened all the way through this album. I can see with a few vocal changes that Teddy mentioned it had potential.
F-Punk is a bit of a lo-fi, punk, dance diamond in the rough.

Well you've had that artwork for sometime now and never mentioned anything so you failed. 🤣

Thanks so much for this Marky, finally a real remix for this album. I'm sure I've said this before, but for all the stick I give BAD at times this album has a special place in my hear since it's the first BAD album I ever owned and I rather liked the (admittedly clunky at times) sentiments found within it. The idea that the recorded music could finally be given a sympathetic mix and master should help tell a better story about the Twilight of The BAD.

Enjoy mate. Having bought all The Clash/BAD releases in chronological order over the years it's interesting to hear how younger fans came to get into them. I can't imagine how I would've felt if F-Punk had been my first purchase.

It was interesting when I picked up the gatefold double vinyl LP as obviously that sleeve has the Elvis/London Calling style typography so I was thanking immediately a rock n roll styled album. But on first listen I was about as underwhelmed as when I first heard CtC. But despite the awful live mix some of the tracks showed potential. It's an album that has grown on me over the years with repeated plays. This new mix opens up the sound with a more in your face feel. Took a lot of effort to balance out the Instruments with the various samples/effects as the original mix has some really weird separation with an almost mono channeling. Vocals through one channel and some really poor sounding drum mix. The drums and vocal now sit healthier in the mid channel where they belong and some of the effects are in both channels giving a wider fuller sound.

Thanks for this Marky, a good way to revisit an album I have on vinyl - where it actually sounded OK to my ears, but happy to give these a blast. I see on Discogs some comments about the vinyl sounding much better than the CD, but who knows.
I see the first three bonus tracks are from the I Turned Out A Punk single, but what's the story about the others?
And Drop By, Turn On, Tune Up is a classic

From the promo "I Turned Out a Punk" cd singles.

And that was a fun play on the old Timothy Leary saying "Turn on, tune in, drop out".

I have the vinyl and cd and the vinyl has a warmer feel but a better mix, no.

Thanks Marky, I'm one of the few that bought this on release and have loved it ever since. This mix is very interesting, I'll need to really dig deep on this one. Cheers Mate
