BAD shows from Boston from '85, '87 and '89

Post by appleseed1 »

I posted these in Sound of the Sinners, but I thought I would crosspost them here just in case. They were uploaded to Dime today. I just listened to the '85 show just now and thought it was fantastic -- great performance and recording. It's a real treasure as far as I'm concerned. I can't wait to get to the next two.

No problem! I can't wait to hear the '87 and '89 shows. I'm still buzzing over how good the '85 show is.

Mick was more talkative than normal, and mentioned Topper, Paul and Joe by name once and made an oblique reference to The Clash earlier in the show as well. The '85 shows are fascinating in how Mick was establishing his new band's identity and probably also felt the weight of expectations of audiences who loved him from The Clash.

Spoiler alert; the 1987 show sounds great!

Outstanding, Laxman! I woke up to find a pipe fitting on my water heater needed replacing (I must've caught it soon after it burst because the clean-up wasn't too bad), so I'll be listening to it as soon as I'm done with the emergency plumbing repair. "These are things that drive me crazy."

Might just have been me. I tried with 7Zip and Windows built in unzipper.
