I've always wondered what "sound" or genre BAD was. How would you describe what they sound like - if you had to tell someone who had never heard BAD. I just started listening to go-go and in some ways I thought, yea, that's the "sound". Then I saw a note about a former BAD member being involved in a go-go album, so maybe it's not just my imagination. Anyone else heard go-go? It's based in DC. Seems to be very much a sub-current. The whole percussion side of BAD sounds go-go, and all the electronic sound effects that BAD uses are in go-go. So, is there a connection?

Also, the city council in DC is always being asked to shut down clubs after shootings, and I think there's a go-go connection there. (Since go-go = evil, I suppose.) But the lyrical themes are mainly poontangular, as far as I can tell, and less gansta. I guess I should go see for myself - if I can just get past the white man hammersmith thing.
