Fantastic album, my favourite in fact. Just wish that guitar was more audible in the mix.
Yeah, my second favourite BAD album. It would be number one if the production was better. So much better than the patchy (to me) Upping St.
Can I ask what you find patchy on Upping St. ?
Limbo the Law, Ticket, Hollywood Boulevard, Dial a Hit man..
I think Limbo and Hollywood are excellent. Dial is somewhat ruined by that daft off beat thing. Ticket is fun but lightweight and would've made a decent B-side.
Limbo especially never clicked with me, and Ticket was b-side material at best. To think they had Dog In a Satellite and Electric Vandal sitting in the bank.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

I will agree both Dog in a Satellite and Electric Vandal are better than Ticket. But Limbo is a great track.

Dial A Hitman is great beginning to end. Ticket isn’t my favorite, and Limbo is good but not great. Dog in a Satellite would have been preferable, if indeed it was “ready” to go (seeing as they never did finish it). Tighten Up has a couple lesser tracks as well.

Dial a Hitman always seemed a bit forced to me. Can't touch anything on the debut. The phone call was good.

Stalag 123 came on the playlist earlier, beauty of a track. Not a bad album really, bit of fat that could have been trimmed but overall, a very pleasant listen.

Great album for me. So much going on, a brave record.

Finally growing on you?

Agreed about the fat trimming but a remarkably cohesive album.

Didn't like it the first few listens but got to a stage where I thought it was ok. Now it's a good listen. Loved Stalag and Around The Girl however from the first listen.

Around the Girl is my favourite on the album. I can't remember what won in the recent BAD poll. I think it was Contact but that song is way overrated for me.

One thing I'm learning is that this board is disappointingly attached to singles. It's like TRL in here.

New BAD II recording from Australia on Youtube. Posted from the BAD Facebook group, the guy said he just recently found the tape he recorded, and in the comments mentions he has another one to post from the same tour.
