Now that he's retired, perhaps he might get round to digitizing themRiver wrote: ↑24 Aug 2022, 1:17amYeah, same here. That honestly caught my eye first over the General Public tapes. Only thing I could guess was something around Sandinista, maybe when they recorded Every Little Bit Hurts? So possibly that + a couple other covers maybe.Marky Dread wrote: ↑23 Aug 2022, 3:47pmI wonder what the tape is with Mickey and Norman on it.
Obviously Mickey Gallagher and Norman Watt-Roy. But I wonder what the tracks are.

Dave I remastered these a while back. I only shared them with Laxman. I'll upload them when I get time.dave202 wrote: ↑24 Aug 2022, 5:32amI lost this with a hard disc crash. Can anyone repost it please?aza wrote: ↑03 Apr 2015, 9:32amMarky- you rule!

Even if i don't Like General Public, i'm thankful to Marky Dread For the Great job he's doing here. He's a guide For The Clash material and related. Among the General Public demos no track sung by Mick and he doesn't play guitar with His own guitar style. I don't think Mick was feeling involved with General Public. Cut the Crap is a masterpiece if i compare it with General Public demos

Re: General Public
Mick was not a member of General Public. He was really just helping out his old mates from The Beat getting their sound together.APACHES67 wrote: ↑30 Aug 2022, 1:13pmEven if i don't Like General Public, i'm thankful to Marky Dread For the Great job he's doing here. Also most likely a way of keeping his hand in after leaving The Clash. Can't imagine Mick being in a band after The Clash where he was anything but the front man.
