I was ready to pour over these to sort out which bits were Mick's, but it seems I'm too late. The link is dead. Anyone nice enough to re-upload it would officially be Big Kindness Dynamite.Marky Dread wrote:Well I suppose their is always your friendly neighborhood Marky Dread.dave202 wrote:Where would I look for those demos Marky? Re: General Public
Not sure if this has been posted before but just came across this posting on Twitter - One of Mick's tape collections that has a General Public demo and a rehearsal session/performance from September 21, 1983.

I wonder what the tape is with Mickey and Norman on it.
Obviously Mickey Gallagher and Norman Watt-Roy. But I wonder what the tracks are.

Re: General Public
There's something quite endearing that even into the late 1980s MJ is still collecting tapes and spending time on the covers (apart from the Sigue Sigue Sputnik one where he just crossed it out and put Upsetter. I guess top left was an upgrade)

Re: General Public
That's what stood out to me—it's wonderfully dorky teenager kind of stuff from that time.

Re: General Public
Yeah, same here. That honestly caught my eye first over the General Public tapes. Only thing I could guess was something around Sandinista, maybe when they recorded Every Little Bit Hurts? So possibly that + a couple other covers maybe.Marky Dread wrote: ↑23 Aug 2022, 3:47pmI wonder what the tape is with Mickey and Norman on it.
