From what I can tell, it's just the Live By The River Mix that is obscure. So, uploading just that one wouldn't be leaking the whole thing, right?
Where are these other 3 then?
I have the RSD single, so I know I have the Instrumental Version and the 2012 Remix.
I don't understand the 1st track as "original version". Is that just the LP version?
I'm totally confused!
Alls I know is that the first three are easy to find on Soulseek. It's that last one that is elusive.
I'm on Soulseek so I'll look for them. Do they have the same "name" ie London Calling 2012 (Faraway Towns - Mix)?
Yup, that's how I found it. And as Marky said, it's nothing special. Longer and some vocal hoo-ha, but hardly something that'll make you rethink your life or the song.

1. London Calling (Original)
2. London Calling 2012 (Full Instrumental)
3. London Calling 2012 (Faraway Towns - Mix)
4. London Calling 2012 (Live By The River - Mix)
If anyone wants to listen to the promo CD-exclusive tracks, they were uploaded to YouTube earlier this year:
I was given an upload with artwork by another board member. As he kindly shared it with me I think it only correct to wait and see if he wants to share it further. Otherwise it stays where it is.
The first track is the original single mix. Then the 2012 instrumental. Then two unreleased mixes by Mick which just drop out various vocals from the main track. Not that exciting really.
That sounds reasonable and fair.
So your Nuclear meltdown Version is completely different then any of these?
Yes just something I made from the stems for that compilation.

Thanks for posting those, great find. I wouldn't have rested til I'd managed to hear those two remixes
And I enjoyed them - Mick's guitar much clearer with that Space Echo/ Chorus effect more prominent, extra backwards guitar kept in at the end of the solo, and a few other little guitar licks dotted here and there. Not much difference between the two.

Heard...again.

Waiting for the audio opinion of someone more qualified than me, I can say that it is a nice collector's item, same concept as "Train in Vain '91" and "Return To Brixton": new mix, instrumental, etc. of songs already released.
