yes its far better thanks though do you mind ripping the dvd with MakeMKV and not handbrake i would like as little compression as possible

Handbrake does offer an MKV option, I discovered. It's never the default, tho. Re-ripping to MKV.

it ripped fine just not to the correct format (its been reencoded so practically useless to me)
mkv is just a container what i need is the raw MPEG2 stream and not have it be de interlaced or reencoded
any chance you could just upload the raw dvd files?
