There seems to have been 4 or 5 DVD releases with all the same material, just rehashed. 2nd rate bootleg footage from the US Festival, Fridays, Aylesbury, Vienna etc... They vary slightly but contain the same interview segments with Chris Salewicz, Pat Gilbert, Johnney Green etc... Two of them have an eroded film reel as the container for the reduced in size live footage. The others don't. I could watch them all fully being repeat after repeat. Anyone with an update on these rip offs, or any more.
1. London Calling DVD
2. Tory Crimes 2 DVD
3. The Clash - Music in Review 2 DVD
4. Up Close and Personal DVD

Re: Recent Rip Off DVD releases
Is any of those by chance this same shape-shifting spammer label that's repackaged the MP3-sourced '83 demos: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=316 .
There they called themselves Bankrobber records. On a previous spam message--worded exactly the same--they were Red Note Beats. Red Note has some semi-legit stuff in their catalog, but also some real scams like the afforementioned '83 Demos CD. And they look real dubious now with the constantly changing name and all the spam. I'm starting to fear that they're polluting the market with a lot of shoddy crap under guise of a more semi-professional marketing presentation than the usual DIY fake CD-R hustlers.

It's just a re-packaged version of the Viva Joe Strummer DVD/CD that was released a few years ago.In A Rut wrote:there is a DVD i have seen at a few stores (HMV, cdplus.com, Chapters) called
