Clash Atlas of Give 'Em Enough Rope

Post by OWEI »

Whilst sorting stuff in the loft to sell to get the car through its MOT, I came across my very battered official Clash Atlas of Give 'Em Enough Rope.

It has split along the middle fold and the top edge is frayed with some water damage, it's also quite dirty, but given some love and attention in a new home, it could make someone very happy.

Measures (approx): 61cm x 90cm (24" x 35 1/2")

Given its age, I suppose it could be a lot worse, but the condition somehow adds to its unique lovliness

I was going to put it on 'that' auction site, but I'd much rather it went to a fellow Satcher than some poxy dealer.

(There's one coming up for sale at a music memorabilia auction soon and the estimate is £250-£300, but I don't know what condition it's in.)

If anyone is interested, please pm me.

I thank you

That's a thoroughly awesome poster. And that's great of you to offer it up here first.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I'd prefer a Combat Rock atlas.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

It would certainly be a lot more "experimental."

TBH Matedog, although I've hardly posted on here since we had to re-register, as I said, I'd much rather it went to a real fan rather than a dealer like some of the buggers I've been contacted by in the past when using a well known auction site. :naughty:

I can't even remember how I got it, I think I may have had to write to CBS enclosing a voucher from the LP and some cash - dunno, it was a long, long time ago...

The promo Combat Rock book w/ the blank pages (since "The future is unwritten") looks pretty cool.

Funnily enough, I had that, too, at one point, but I've long since sold it on eBay. It was quite a nice-looking item, for sure.

Also, the GEER puzzle looks sweet.

Is that Berkowitz in the center left?

Didn't that poster come with the original copies of GEER?
