Jesus. I think that's the worst nerd look ever. Also, every nerd who wears a trenchcoat and/or fedora has terrible body odor. Like, even worse than normal nerds. Okay, I'm convinced. I have a fabulous fashion sense.JennyB wrote:I could understand if it was James Taylor in 1973, but even 1973 is awesome with a little bit of John Simm.Flex wrote:I didn't feel shame that I was emulating John Simm, but shame that I was emulating 1973.JennyB wrote:You should never feel shame about looking-like/emulating John Simm. Also, I realized as I was watching Life on Mars yesterday that I was wearing a shirt that looked almost exactly like one the John Simm was wearing in an episode (slighly less clownlike collar, but still oversized). I felt shame.

The Doc's hat is a slouch hat a la Wilde, really. Dylan's is more of a western hat.Wolter wrote:I've long imagined that's what longhaired nerds with fedoras and trenchcoats thought.Flex wrote:I should get a hat like that. Then people can be like "hey, look at the guy in the stupid hat."

I can't stand Jo Brand. I had to sit through her compering a stand-up night because my mate was on the bill. Just unoriginal and unfunny, with all the jokes variations on the theme of her being unattractive.

Used to quite like her although her career appears a little like her act, stale and one dimensional.Heston wrote:Concurred, she's crap.Silent Majority wrote:I can't stand Jo Brand. Julian Clary's the same. I think there's a lot of comedians that got through in the eighties because of the political culture rather than any actual talent.101Walterton wrote:Used to quite like her although her career appears a little like her act, stale and one dimensional.Heston wrote:Concurred, she's crap.Silent Majority wrote:I can't stand Jo Brand.
