No, I'm not really holding my breath. What'd be the best for me, is a disc that I could get individually from iTunes, that has all the outtakes we've already heard - and if I'm very lucky, some we haven't - all professionally remastered and stuff all together.mikel wrote:I don´t have too many expectations due to previous experiences.

Yeah, that's where I'm at. If the remastered sound is top-notch, it'd be worth upgrading, but otherwise a mix-n-match disc of "new" material would be sufficient for me.Silent Majority wrote:No, I'm not really holding my breath. Well done on untangling that last sentence. I just kept writing, instead of writing clearly.Dr. Medulla wrote:Yeah, that's where I'm at. Hey, don't kill the messenger. I actually don't know what "outtakes" Mick was referring to. I also hope there's stuff for the cognoscenti because I've got all the rest too. Next time we discuss it I'll push for a little info.
Re: The Clash Boxset
Thanks, Teddy. We appreciate you taking time out of your personal conversations with Mick to discuss stuff for us. At this point, speculation around these parts seems kinda pointless.TeddyB Not Logged In wrote:Hey, don't kill the messenger. I actually don't know what "outtakes" Mick was referring to. Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

That's a beautiful thing, my friend, and I look forward to to your future updates on the project, and I pray that he shows a little more respect to the fanbase than the usual business suits. If it's just a regurgitation of previously released material, however, I'm gonna hold his feet to the fire cause there's really no sense in Mick getting involved unless he plans to put his own stamp on the project. For now I'll twiddle my thumbs and wait for the next missive to come down from the mountaintop.TeddyB Not Logged In wrote:Hey, don't kill the messenger. Much love.

I second the thanks Ted, we appreciate any info you have, and only one of us get upset about it. That's a pretty good percentage...

There are great people here but if i had to do a list of reasons why i´m in this forum, TeddyB updates will be the first one.
Re: The Clash Boxset
Huh? Bollocks, I'll buy the thing. Just to add to the collection. Even if it's all "old" stuff. An official release of any of the demos or like are well worth it in my book.Dr. Medulla wrote:Yeah, that's where I'm at. Could be that Mick is playing ball with the man, to get some leverage further down the line when he releases his life's work.
