Hey, I'm watching those too! Love Ripper Street, not fully sold on The Following. It's gory and creepy, but is also chock-full of cliche. But who am I to judge because I am also watching The Carrie Diaries, but just for the music, clothes and Freema Agyman.
Matthew Macfadyen is terrific in Ripper Street. Just watched the first two ep's of The Following today and enjoyed them both will see how things pan out.

The Carrie Diaries ....maybe I could do with some fashion tips. ;)

The first season with Woody also introduced Lilith, and the early courtship between her and Frasier is really funny.

It's truly a horrible show. It's the prequel to Sex and the City, with Sarah Jessica Parker's character in high school. For some reason, though, I am drawn to it. I think because of its depiction of early 80's NYC, its fashion and music. Idealized, for sure, but fun.

Matthew Macfayden is terrific. So is the American coroner guy who looks like Eumaas.

Yeah it's a strong cast.

I bet Miss Dread will be all over The Carrie Diaries. Thanks for the warning. ;)

The bf and I are currently watching:

- Boardwalk Empire (fucking amazing)
- Supernatural
- Workaholics

Recently finished Downton Abbey...that show is always able to find new and interesting ways to completely destroy me emotionally. As in, I wake up the next day still feeling it.

We are going to start the following sooner or later:

- Ripper Street (is it any good?)
- Suburgatory (just because of Alan Tudyk)
- Portlandia (watched the first episode, and I'm not sold, but maybe it gets better...?)

Also HELLO again! I said I was gonna come back since grad school was done, but so far I've been a liar :disshame:

Good to hear! I've got the first few episodes ready to go, so once we're finished with Boardwalk Empire, I think we'll start in on Ripper Street.

Just started the Netflix remake of House of Cards. Fantastic cast, anchored by Kevin Spacey at his sleazy best, and a great sense of place. Writing is a bit hot and cold, but a couple episodes in and it all compelling (if in a somewhat cotton candy way).
