Ask Heston, a thread where you ask Heston

If we can get a few more nominees, it might justify a poll …

Y'know, I've made great strides in the past couple decades in taming my music snob qualities, but I say this to you all now: I hate everyone in that audience and especially everyone on that stage.
It's a bummer Ariana didn't get to take a verse. She's got pipes.

Not sure what's particularly offensive about that version too. Martin's vocals are perfectly fine.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I think the song's average at worst, but was wrecked by a few million more radio plays and nightclub appearances than it could take.

I remember seeing the video a few times summer of 96. I don't know if I've heard it much on the radio since then. Oasis means waaaaaay less in the US.

I reckon they were closer to deserving the reception they got in America than the one they received at home.

I remember I first heard about Oasis from my roommate at the time, who was into Metallica and Lars hyped them as a "non-pussy British band."

I think this is Heston’s motto:
I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

I've studied the phenomenon of neo-provincialism in self-isolating online communities but this place takes the fucking cake.

If there was an article of clothing called a Heston what would it be?
