Detroit Rock City Poll: KISS vs Mighty Mighty Bosstones
Re: Detroit Rock City Poll: KISS vs Mighty Mighty Bosstones
At first I thought this was just band vs. band and I thought "what the fuck?"

Yes, imagine a worldwide vote on the subject.

Yes, arguments from popularity are always the best kind.

God damn, that close up of makeupless (like not any makeup whatsover) Gene's face was a bad way to start the MMB version. I could take or leave the vocals on either. The horns don't do much for me on this and the breakdown horns are pretty flaccid and dull. Eh, Kiss gets the edge by a Gene 90s mustache hair.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I can't remember the last one you did, but I thought you were in the majority on that one.Heston wrote: ↑31 Jan 2019, 5:51pmI've just checked back on every poll I've created and I'm losing in all of them, the law of averages says I must win one day.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑31 Jan 2019, 5:49pmHe's practically goading me into voting against him for his arrogance.Rat Patrol wrote: ↑31 Jan 2019, 5:35pmYou heard the man...he's ready to lose this more cruelly than ever!

I forgot about the Woodstock/Live Aid poll. I voted Woodstock in a deliberate attempt to win a poll, even though I was probably deceiving myself as I'd rather watch Live Aid if I was honest.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑31 Jan 2019, 7:05pmI can't remember the last one you did, but I thought you were in the majority on that one.Heston wrote: ↑31 Jan 2019, 5:51pmI've just checked back on every poll I've created and I'm losing in all of them, the law of averages says I must win one day.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑31 Jan 2019, 5:49pmHe's practically goading me into voting against him for his arrogance.Rat Patrol wrote: ↑31 Jan 2019, 5:35pmYou heard the man...he's ready to lose this more cruelly than ever!

Fine. You're insane but at least you picked a murky enough set of options that I'm not obviously voting against my conscience.

Are there many Bostonians on the board? If so, I would consider a defeat by three or less to be a victory.

I mean...you’ve considered a defeat by ten or more a victory in the past, so go nuts.
(I don’t have a horse in this race, honestly. Both versions are meh)

Rattie and BBE are legit. Flex is honorary.

Ok, it looks like I'm winning by three at the moment then.

And as KISS go legitimately into the lead, Flex starts facing up to the fact he could be the first person to lose a poll to me.
