Sad old man trying to look current. The only thing I read about this was that beforehand he got emotional about Keith Flint's suicide, stating that nobody loved him and he'd been abandoned. So, Johnny ran the gamut on the night.

That's the sad thing, he was hitting the right targets back then.

Lydon was such an important figure for me—it's not hyperbolic to say he changed my life—but these days when he opens his mouth, he diminishes himself. Whether it's talking up Trump or the Queen or making an ass of himself at events like this or the PiL documentary last year, it comes off as really sad. And that just breaks my heart. He comes off as a man out of time, going thru the motions of why he meant so much.

Yes, depressing in every way.

Was going to say John Lydon v Bernard Rhodes would be an absolute box office smash but it’s kind of pointless as there is no cinematic angle on earth wide enough to fit those 2 monstrous egos into the one shot.

I wish Lydon would just let Rotten go. I see what Steve Jones is doing and he seems to be in a great place despite his issues over the years but Lydon is just prolonging his own agony clinging on to what he was 40 years ago.
Grow up FFS Johnny.

Here is the whole 24 minute segment....https://www.rollingstone.com/music/musi ... HxsCcvCnS4

John does make a fool of himself but at the end he mentions Nora has Alzheimers and then he brings up Ari Up and the Slits I really felt sorry for the guy, no wonder he drinks. I love him and will always, even when he makes a fool of himself. Him, his music, his lyrics, they all changed my life and the way I look at the world.

That's horrible about Nora. Is that a recent revelation, as I don't recall hearing it before. I can certainly appreciate him being more on edge with that going on in his life.

Never heard it before, Alzheimer's is horrible, and isn't she like 10 or 15 years older than him?
