This morning I put on the Rocket To Russia short my brother got me last year, and I realized every time I wear it, I end up listening to Rocket To Russia.

Surely this is correct.

Bryan Ferry put out some great music in the 80's. This is my 1st "deep dive" into that part of his catalog - but I'm digging it. If you throw in Roxy's Avalon from 1982 - it's a good run.

I've not heard the two solo albums but Avalon is great.

They're very much in the same vein as Avalon.

I finally got bitten hard by Wish after years of not caring much for it (probably the result of it living in the shadow of the previous stuff), but it got me thinking that I should reassess the other four albums that come after Disintegration that I also haven't really dug much. I'm digging this much more than my last few listens from a couple years ago. I like the Sandinista-esque genre experiments.

I will check them out at some point but I've a lot of other stuff to get through first. But thanks for the mention of them.

The third-best Gang of Four album.

I like it too, it's just slightly overlong.

Never had that thought. There's nothing that strikes me as justifying a cut. What would you suggest?

I've tried the albums after Wish and they do absolutely nothing for me. I'm fine with pretending that Smith died in a hairspray explosion right after Wish.

I haven't listened in quite a while but I do recall that much like a Rancid album, I'm about done after track 10. Let me give it another listen though, it's been years.

I used to think that too, I'll report back—about to start Bloodflowers now.
