Hello,

The Skunks - No Apologies. Third Wave Ska. Good stuff if you enjoy 3rd wave ska - although I'm not sure what differentiates between the waves beside time period. Ska for sure - which limits it - but has some newer touches. Some may recognize the audio snip defining ska from Police Squad.

The transition from slow, hellish noise to something more varied an interesting.

Beto's opinion of Swans could transform the primary season. Then again, so could Biden's. My mind melts at the possibilities.

There definitely is. They were one of the first "classic" rock bands I ever got into (besides the staples like the Beatles and Stones). Rod the Mod truly has one of the best rock voices ever...even if he stopped applying his full potential circa 1977.

My first exposure to Rod Stewart was thru the awful solo material he's done and I find it hard to disassociate it from anything else he's done.

Agree with all the above, The Faces and Rods first few solo albums are outstanding. Rod has a "sessions" album which is also good for the first 2 cd's then something happened to him, maybe it was the cocaine, but he was never the same after 76 or 77.

A Night on the Town from 1976 is really good, but the drop off to 1977's Foot Loose & Fancy Free is very marked. Too much of everything from that point on and he also adopted that obnoxious "girl crazy" persona.

I love the Small Faces but never had much time at all for the Faces. Just can't get past his voice.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Yeah. I keep trying, and there are some good songs, but it reminds me of too many terrible things.
