Very good article, as was the following article about Eric Clapton https://thebaffler.com/latest/the-faire ... ss-kennedy

Though I do take umbrage at the sentence which says "Clapton had just stolen George Harrison's wife..." which implies that women are objects/property to be stolen. Otherwise, pretty much articulates how I feel about him.
I sometimes wonder, perhaps unfairly, if those same white blues fans are also the same ones who declare themselves the real victims of racism because, I dunno, a black person made them feel scared or something.

Regardless, I'm relieved that I hate Clapton's music so I don't have to feel conflicted about him. He's a dick, his music sucks, and he looks like he smells like a wet goat.
Hey, goats are awesome! Clapton is not!
Wet goats smell like racists.

Despite hitting a kid in the face twice instead of realising that probably wasn’t Senator behaviour he blamed the kid’s mother and said she should have slapped him round the face years ago (also a criminal offence).
His hole couldn’t get much deeper.

Really, I'm only posting this for the malfunctioning clone-of-a-clone photo. I really thought our future overlords would look more appealing.

No, no, if we expose their views to the public, everyone, including the Nazis, will see that they're wrong. /centrist enablers

Back in the olden days, one major illness or death could completely destroy a family, leaving them destitute and dependent upon the charity of others. Good thing that's in the past, huh?

Smug liberals and rural decline. Reminds me a lot of Tom Frank's analysis.

any two state solution is absolutely dead as an option.

More so, he's currently charged with three counts of fraud and bribery, yet still wins election? It really is stunning what right-wing voters will tolerate in their candidates as long as they're sufficiently malicious.

It’s not like Gantz is particularly left-wing either. The left in Israel is looking pretty dead. also with that nation-state law, I don’t blame Arab Israelis for giving up and abstaining.
