Just got my copy. Waited in line for a hour and a half to get in and 20 minutes to check out. I also grabbed the Johnny Thunders Que Sera Sera Resurrected double LP.
Hey mate it's been a while!
Good to see you posting.
Cheers
Mike
Thanks, it's good to be back.
I feel like I'm getting back into music like I was before.

Thanks for sharing this! I keep listening to it over and over. Does that sax remind anyone else of the one from the When Pigs Fly recordings? Could this demo have been from those sessions?

I thought that sax sounded like the Pigs Fly soundtrack also.

Seconded, thanks for sharing Chuck!
It's my understanding that the When Pigs Fly songs were also recorded at Rockfield Studios in 1993 with the same (or very similar) lineup of musicians as "The Cool Impossible." So if it's not the same exact sessions, it's close enough. I can't get enough of the songs from these 1993 sessions, I hope there is more to come.

Looks like the songs are on Spotify now.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Thanks for sharing, just bought it. Am I the only one not noticing a difference in this mix of The Cool Impossible?

Sounds the same as the box set to me. On Spotify only the A-side is listed as a demo.

Hijacking the thread slightly, but it is Record Store Day related. Anyone have a copy of this promo? Sad completest that I am, would love to hear the two remixes.
Check your PMs.

Shows how out of the loop I am. I didn't even know they had alternate mixes of London Calling 2012. Are they noticeably different?

Promo of 200 only I think. Mixes are OK. I don't have permission to share so won't be.

Yeah, that disk is rare enough it doesn't even have an entry on Discogs as far as I can tell. Interesting.
