Junco also too early on the original album imo.Marky Dread wrote: ↑01 May 2019, 1:10pmYep that was Wolt who pointed that out. Yeah. But I thought LC had odd choices on side one, namely BNC and JJ.Wolter wrote: ↑01 May 2019, 1:54pmThe first disc is loaded with odd choices after Mag 7Heston wrote: ↑01 May 2019, 1:30pmJunco also too early on the original album imo.Marky Dread wrote: ↑01 May 2019, 1:10pmYep that was Wolt who pointed that out. We differ there, in that BNC rules, and JJ is a nice cool down before hateful/Rudie.Heston wrote: ↑01 May 2019, 1:56pmYeah. I think the running order LC is perfect wouldn't change a note.Wolter wrote: ↑01 May 2019, 1:59pmWe differ there, in that BNC rules, and JJ is a nice cool down before hateful/Rudie.Heston wrote: ↑01 May 2019, 1:56pmYeah. S! and CTC are the only Clash albums that I feel are hampered on first listen by running order. The difference is S! is easily fixable.

All those great songs they wrote for LC, why have a cover in second position?

Re: Sandinista ! Strike Out Edition.
London Calling the song is so iconic and BNC seems so lyrically throwaway in comparison. They needed another heavy-ish statement. The jump is a bit incongruous.

Re: Sandinista ! Strike Out Edition.
I disagree, not just for my love of BNC but because as a song it still gives it the bollocks. I can't not hear it in the car, crank the volume up, shout along and feel like the coolest bastard ever. Great at number 2 for me.

The shakers and wood block on The Leader. First time I've heard them.
