Someone will have to enlighten me, how do you vote tactically here?

Re: THE FINAL - Round 5
If you have a favourite for the final showdown, you'd want to knock-off its strongest competitor, even if it's your actual second favourite. So you'd be seeking to preserve the third choice over the second for the sake of the final round.

I voted STH because it’s my third favorite of what’s left. I’m a chessmaster.

Seriously? How the hell is Straight to Hell going to get voted off? Maybe the best lyrics Joe ever penned and clearly (at least in my opinion) the most beautifully written. I also smell a rat.

I can understand that in earlier rounds but they are all favourites now, totally tied until half an hour ago.

For crying out loud, people: they’re all good songs and each has the potential to be someone’s favorite. It’s not like it’s London Calling vs. Fingerpoppin’ and Junkie Slip.

Darn lurkers! We're up to 28 votes - which I think is the most we've ever gotten

Re: THE FINAL - Round 5
Well, someone might have a clear favourite and be trying to maneuver the board, so to speak. My preference would be for CC or RCF, as they fit, kneejerk, what my mind conjures up as archetypal Clash songs. STH is superb, but I don't instinctually think of the Clash as playing slow and sobering music. But if STH won, I'd think it pretty satisfying that, collectively, we decided that they went out at the top of their game.Heston wrote: ↑08 May 2019, 10:04amI can understand that in earlier rounds but they are all favourites now, totally tied until half an hour ago.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑08 May 2019, 9:54amIf you have a favourite for the final showdown, you'd want to knock-off its strongest competitor, even if it's your actual second favourite. So long as nobody's using alt accts (which would be totally cuntish behaviour) I don't think there's an issue.
