Actually, it's just occurred to me that I'm on holiday in mid June. I better get A Party started sooner.

I'm in for the first couple albums anyway. But don't make me evaluate the contents of Higher Power.

With four single albums and a bare minimum of b-sides, it should be a bit less unwieldy than the Clash version.

Strictly original line-up here I think. Even my patience for Mick ran out with the latter stages of BAD II/Big Audio.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑13 May 2019, 2:05pmI'm in for the first couple albums anyway. But don't make me evaluate the contents of Higher Power.

Even at that, Megatop would be tough for me to care about.Heston wrote: ↑13 May 2019, 2:07pmStrictly original line-up here I think. Tighten Up is such a good album, (and my favourite) would be interested to see how far tracks from there would go.

I think it has some good songs but I like it more as a whole. In isolation the tracks aren't as good. And it needed quicker fades on the 10 times repeated choruses at the end of a few of the songs.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑13 May 2019, 2:10pmEven at that, Megatop would be tough for me to care about.Heston wrote: ↑13 May 2019, 2:07pmStrictly original line-up here I think. Been some time since I've listened to it as a whole, so maybe that's on tap.Heston wrote: ↑13 May 2019, 2:21pmI think it has some good songs but I like it more as a whole. edit: Okay, just finished listening to it. It still feels more inspired than executed well.

I think the band had a lot more writing credits as Mick was hospitalized during its inception. It does miss his usual melodic gift in places.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑13 May 2019, 2:26pmBeen some time since I've listened to it as a whole, so maybe that's on tap.Heston wrote: ↑13 May 2019, 2:21pmI think it has some good songs but I like it more as a whole. Maybe that's it. I know it took me awhile to warm to Tighten Upl, but MP's just never clicked with me.Heston wrote: ↑13 May 2019, 5:43pmI think the band had a lot more writing credits as Mick was hospitalized during its inception. I think it's great considering it's time frame and the acid house inspiration.Heston wrote: ↑13 May 2019, 5:43pmI think the band had a lot more writing credits as Mick was hospitalized during its inception.
