Re: B.A.D. Observations Thread
It's a great song but always felt a bit clunky to me in its execution. The Clash would have done it better.

Agreed, I think it hangs together well, got it on now.Marky Dread wrote: ↑13 May 2019, 5:58pmI think it's great considering it's time frame and the acid house inspiration.Heston wrote: ↑13 May 2019, 5:43pmI think the band had a lot more writing credits as Mick was hospitalized during its inception. It does miss his usual melodic gift in places.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑13 May 2019, 2:26pmBeen some time since I've listened to it as a whole, so maybe that's on tap.
edit: Okay, just finished listening to it. It still feels more inspired than executed well.

Medicine Show for me, beautiful melody and the flares line is brilliant.

E=MC2 for me, though Medicine Show runs it close. Also love Applecart, V13 and Much Worse.

Lyrically superb. "They traded some for a hostage release" "If you ain't ill it'll fix your car"
Just really poignant yet funny at the same time.

I loved the TV Meltdown show where Mick sings "They traded some for Terry Waite".

Applecart, E=MC2 and V13 are solid. Also worth a mention is Battle of All Saints Road, fucking love that song.
Re: B.A.D. Observations Thread
I predict the final is going to be Medicine Show, Sightsee, Applecart, and Contact.
