It did actually, I feel a lot better today, thanks. I recoomed the "full bottle of wine and lasagne" cure for anyone with the lurgy.

I completely stand by getting drunk at the onset of a cold. It's almost a miracle cure.

yes, and the science behind that is that cold germs are pussies who can't handle their liquor.

My doctor friend says the science seems to be that alcohol depresses your immune system, which means that you don't have immune responses (ie symptoms), which is all well and good when you're young.

Yep that’s what I was thinking. I think I drink about one Coke every 6 months at best and usually for a hangover. Never touch any other ‘pop’.

Used to come wrapped in yellow cellophane and I think it even had a warning on it? You definitely could only buy it a chemist. I loved it.

I actually like plain old tap water. Can’t stand 0% alcohol beers so if I am driving (rarely) I will have water.

I was pretty much kidding around. I was given a Vicodin prescription after my c-section, and I had jokingly brought up on Facebook (or it may have even been here) if taking Vicodin for a sore throat was excessive. Tempting, but I didn't do it.
