The songwriting on these two tunes is so much tighter than anything on Global.
different modes of creating music between the two records, both excellent, imho.
Yeah, Global doesn't conform to standard pop structures, which is what makes it good and great and unique.

Pretty impressive how different the records are given the time between them. Not unlike The Clash I suppose.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Yeah, it's wild. Some of streetcore might be chalked up to being unfinished at the time of Joe's death, but can't imagine the underlying structure of the album would have shifted.

I imagine Dakar Meantime would’ve been on it and Midnight Jam would not. The music would’ve been slightly different. The bones would be the same.

Post-election analysis will show Heston's Clapton-like comments against GDM was crucial to securing its win.

Heston was spewing vitriolic racism?

Hyperbole regarding Heston's claim that GDM isn't even a song, and how Clapton's comment sparked a backlash. Sincere apologies, however, if my joke was considered in poor taste.

I think when Heston said Kiss were “bigger than Jesus” was his really scandalous moment.

Jesus, this ended up not even being particularly close, as far as these things go. Definitely some movement since the last matchup.
