Some people at Pink Flag reported earlier that some of these songs were being performed this year and suggested a more unconventional approach. Fingers crossed because the last several albums, while pleasing, have suggested the band is a bit comfortable in what they're doing.Kory wrote: ↑22 Oct 2019, 5:25pmI have about the same reaction I've had to every single since O47, but the song descriptions seem interesting. The first listen of the single was a bit of a shrug for me. Leans too much in the direction of Colin's Githead for me. It's not bad, but … slight.
But they're coming to my town, so I have to rustle up someone to go with me.
Looks like they won't be coming to Seattle, at least til later in the year.

I was pleasantly surprised by "Sleep on the Wing" from the last album, but I agree. Another track from the impending Fitted album. I'm looking forward to it more than Wire.

Interesting - or intriguing - that the new album is just a regular LP or CD, unlike the deluxe hardback-book package as per recent stuff.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑22 Oct 2019, 2:39pmNew album in January: https://pinkflag.greedbag.com/mailouts/ ... s-22-10-19

And, as someone who always thought Wire presented their stuff with nice graphics/cover design (which nudged me into buying their recent albums on vinyl), this one looks a bit uninspired.
I'll still get the thing no doubt, but maybe on CD rather than LP...

Plus it's a photo taken in the Seattle library. Oh really? Curious. And, yes, if the Boss ever goes to a conference around there, I'll come with her and we can model cardigans.Kory wrote: ↑25 Oct 2019, 1:06pmPlus it's a photo taken in the Seattle library.
