Post by Heston »

Is this in circulation?

There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Definitely has the Streetcore sound to it.

New to me, too. I reckon this could be from the Streetcore sessions CD which was mentioned here 10 years ago(!) and never circulated...

https://clashcity.com/boards/viewtopic. ... streetcore

"a cd of Streetcore work in progress mixes which runs thus
1:Get Down Moses
2:Boxwood Motel (Arms Aloft in Aberdeen)
3:Fantastic
4:Coma Girl
5:London is Burning
6:Secret Agent Man
7:Silver and Gold
8:Midnight Jam
All are slightly or very different mixes from the finished album and Secret Agent Man remains unreleased at present."

I reaĺly like that. The live versions of guitar slinger man never made huge impression on me but that immediately grabbed me. Very solid album track, shame it never made it.

This is EXCELLENT! I've always actually dug the Johnny Rivers original and Joe's version retains what I like about the original, but also gives it a completely different sound. Too bad this didn't make it onto Streetcore. There was definitely room for it.

Hello,

I enjoyed (and will continue to enjoy) this cover. I like the original, DEVO has fun with it, and now this - the trifecta.

Agent Orange also does a solid cover.

Hopefully this leads to the Streetcore sessions becoming circulated

Is it because it is a cover it wasn’t included with the other tracks on 001?

Well Ride Your Donkey was on 001 so I doubt it. Lucinda said there is tons of stuff in the vaults, it'll be a case of join the queue.

Yes but was a track that Joe had previously released like Redemption Song. Was wondering if it was different if not previously released as a cover? Is it possible they couldn’t get / afford rights?
