Oops. I messed up too. Subtract one vote for Boogie. That’s the worst of the bunch. Most of these songs are really good.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I voted "Boogie With Your Children" - shitty sound, shitty lead guitar, lame white boy rhythm section, but playful, sweet sentiment and Joe's vocal delivery gives it the lift in his inimitable way. At least it sounds like humans playing it. Sorta kinda the same for "Fingerpoppin'" - cheeky and rude but real (meaning the sentiment and vocal, not the backing track).
The rest I don't know or don't care/like ("We Didn't Start the Fire" is one of Joel's more tolerable songs for me, say I. And Collins' "Can't Hurry Love" cover is a glass of luke-warm milk - neither here nor there. Forgettable.).

WTTCORAR. By a country mile.
Edit: St Elmo's Fire not far behind, good track.

Tom is Heston's insurance policy. If something happens to Heston, he knows that his evil will live on in his apprentice.

A lot of bad songs on this list, but I felt the St. Elmo's Fire song needed a vote.

I've no idea what Peaceful Easy Listening is and looking at Hestons death wish I've no intention of finding out.

Black Diamond is pretty fucking cool relative to the rest of the songs. St Elmo's and We Built This City have absurdly good hooks though.

Perhaps Heston typing Peaceful Easy Listening instead of Peaceful Easy Feeling after having a few pints?Marky Dread wrote: ↑08 Nov 2019, 11:13amI've no idea what Peaceful Easy Listening is and looking at Hestons death wish I've no intention of finding out.
