Sudden Impact Cover

Post by Heston »

Me and Indieground (Bazarboy) have been working on a little project while we're on lockdown, our aim is to cover a song from each of the first four BAD albums. First up is Sudden Impact from the debut, check it out...

Love it. Amazing. Prefer it to Bads version, honestly

Great stuff, man! Groovy smooth as opposed to the original's more twitchy pace.

Sounds great guys!! Really like the video made for it as well. Quick question though, where'd that live footage come from? Think I saw that once on Youtube years back, but it's since long gone.

It came from a live in Scoland from 1986

Very very welcome stuff is this. Probably my weakest track on the album. Would gladly replace it with this version.

Funny, it's right near the top for me. I'd rather ditch BAD or Stone Thames.

Heston, what do you use for recording? I assume it's some sort of DAW and not a Tascam or something. I'm in the market to upgrade and I have been out of the loop on software and I/O devices over the past few years.

One of my faves also. Though I think the Dust Head version is ace. I also really like the demo.

Well Seb did most of the recording on this one mate, I was the vocals and samples guy. He will fill you in better on what he used.

For my own recordings I use Zoom MRS-1608. I'm strictly a hardware man, Seb was just laughing at my traditional ways when we were putting this together. I told him I was a Luddite, which took a bit of explaining.
