Strummer: London is burning
Strummer: London is burning
Does anyone have any info re this remix (or is it the original version) of 'Burning Streets'? Other than the 128kbps mp3 that was available on the 'Generations' compilation, can a CD quality version be found anywhere?? it's an interesting little oddity...

What did Fantastic turn into? It's probably obvious, but I haven't listened to Streetcore for a while.Guest wrote:Its the original mix and comes from a cd of Streetcore work in progress mixes which runs thus

I believe Fantastic is written as the title for Ramshackle Day Parade in the lyric booklet. Secret Agent Man must be Guitar Slinger Man, didn't think that got to be recorded... interesting guest post.Silent Majority wrote:What did Fantastic turn into? Secret Agent Man could be a different track, that and All In Day were written for the film Triple XXX.Jimmy Jazz wrote:I believe Fantastic is written as the title for Ramshackle Day Parade in the lyric booklet. The Vin Diesel movie??? I didn't need to know that. But interesting nonetheless.daredevil wrote:Secret Agent Man could be a different track, that and All In Day were written for the film Triple XXX.Jimmy Jazz wrote:I believe Fantastic is written as the title for Ramshackle Day Parade in the lyric booklet. It's in the Redemption Song book. It surprised me when I read it.Jimmy Jazz wrote:The Vin Diesel movie??? I didn't need to know that. Interesting. Never heard of this item, and it obviously has never been widely circulated. Here's hoping it surfaces on this forum someday. Thanks for the info, and if anyone has a higher bitrate version of the track in question please post!

Don't hold your breath in the hope of this getting into circulation , as with a lot of this kind of stuff it is given to a person in confidence with strict instructions not to pass it on, as people for whatever reason don't want it getting into the public domain, and if it does get passed on then it is obvious who broke the confidence so it will remain uncicrulated for now.
I know its really just a bunch of songs and fans and collectors would love to hear this stuff but there you go, i can think of half a dozen really juicy items that exist but probably will never get out there so to speak, but to tell you what they are would just be teasing so i won't.

Yeah, that attitude doesn't make much sense to me either. Whatever, it's all rotten.Guest wrote:Don't hold your breath in the hope of this getting into circulation , as with a lot of this kind of stuff it is given to a person in confidence with strict instructions not to pass it on, as people for whatever reason don't want it getting into the public domain, and if it does get passed on then it is obvious who broke the confidence so it will remain uncicrulated for now.

I feel that there is a fascistic element, for example, in the Rolling Stones . . .

This has always mystified me, if these things are never gonna see a release, why not get them out there?Guest wrote:Don't hold your breath in the hope of this getting into circulation , as with a lot of this kind of stuff it is given to a person in confidence with strict instructions not to pass it on, as people for whatever reason don't want it getting into the public domain, and if it does get passed on then it is obvious who broke the confidence so it will remain uncicrulated for now.
