Haven't listened to Black & White in ages and it's good as hell. If I don't forget, I'll put up my five later today. I'm gonna have to stop listening to do some online tutoring.
Nearly every track a winner, close to perfection that album.

It's wild how low the critical esteem seems to be for it.

Certainly is, especially given the album shows off so well their musical talent, being able to write in complex time structures, that fucking meaty bass from JJ and Dave being spot on, as ever, on the keys.

1. Nice 'n' Sleazy
2. Toiler on the Sea
3. Tank
4. Curfew
5. Death and Night and Blood (Yukio)

Stunning album. Some of JJ and Dave Greenfield's best moments. They toured the whole album a few years back, damn good show.

Yep I went to a couple of those gigs. Also bought the live cd. Great album.

No thanks to stuck up writers like Jon Savage who disliked them and tried to write them out of punk history. But the kids know they always know.

Great album, and great singles from it. My top 5 won't be particularly counter intuitive.

1. Atomic
2. Dreaming
3. Union City Blue
4. Die Young Stay Pretty
5. The Hardest Part
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a bowl of soup
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a rolling hoop
Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle like a ton of lead
Wiggle - you can raise the dead

We reach the parts other combos cannot reach
We beach the beachheads other armies cannot beach
We speak the tongues other mouths cannot speak
