To be fair the crowd seemed to get it straight away. I'm no Nirvana fan but I remember exactly where I was when I first heard this song. It was one of those "what the fuck is this" moments.

My recollection is that I heard it from a friend who bought the cd. I liked it right away—however overplayed it became, it's a fuck of a great tune—but it wasn't a mindblowing moment either. Pretty sure I stole that friend's copy (and several more) when he didn't repay me some money I lent him.
