Re: movies
The Man With the Golden Gun. Must've seen each Bond film at least a dozen times but this one was always one of my favourites. Christopher Lee was perfectly cast as Scaramanga and though the plot isn't half as strong as some of the others, I'm watching it now having forgotten how damn enjoyable it is.

Re: movies
Of the Moore ones, I like Moonraker and Live and Let Die, but I've never warmed to him as Bond. I'm pretty narrow in that Connery is the only one I can recognize as Bond. Nobody else measures up.tepista wrote: ↑27 May 2020, 6:08pmSpy & Moonraker are greatBitterTom wrote: ↑27 May 2020, 6:07pmCompletely agree, all great to watch, bar A View To A Kill.tepista wrote: ↑27 May 2020, 6:06pmI really like the Roger Moore onesBitterTom wrote: ↑27 May 2020, 6:02pmThe Man With the Golden Gun. Re: movies
Spy Who Loved Me possibly his best, though Golden Gun and Live and Let Die come damn close for me.tepista wrote: ↑27 May 2020, 6:08pmSpy & Moonraker are greatBitterTom wrote: ↑27 May 2020, 6:07pmCompletely agree, all great to watch, bar A View To A Kill.tepista wrote: ↑27 May 2020, 6:06pmI really like the Roger Moore onesBitterTom wrote: ↑27 May 2020, 6:02pmThe Man With the Golden Gun. I actually think Connery is overrated as Bond, Dr No and Thunderball were a yawn-fest.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑27 May 2020, 6:11pmOf the Moore ones, I like Moonraker and Live and Let Die, but I've never warmed to him as Bond. Re: movies
Damn your heathen tongue! If you want to experience boring Bond, read the novels. For the life of me, I don't know how they became popular (JFK was a huge fan of the books). Part of my affection for Connery as Bond is that those movies validate the concept where the novels are dry and tedious.BitterTom wrote: ↑27 May 2020, 6:15pmI actually think Connery is overrated as Bond, Dr No and Thunderball were a yawn-fest.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑27 May 2020, 6:11pmOf the Moore ones, I like Moonraker and Live and Let Die, but I've never warmed to him as Bond. Re: movies
At some point Moore became much to bloated to be believed.
Connery = best
Moore = 2nd best
Who cares
...
New boring guy = worst so far, more so than Remington Steele

James Bond a bodybuilder, ha! I fucking hate that humorless idiot. I watched Casino Royale and that was the last one I saw.

Re: movies
I just cited it because it's from around the same time as Casino Royale.

Re: movies
Just realised I don’t really care who plays James Bond.
I will watch the films if they are on but they are just a bit fun throwaway movies as far as I am concerned. Some better than others but that’s about it.
Not my cup of tea.
