It could also be that Trump states/counties are just more rural and farther from cities, and so it's taken longer for the virus to get there, whereas the Clinton places, being more urban and coastal, have gone thru their first wave and are now declining. But it's suggestive of the conservative antipathy to science/medicine and their leader's open scoffing of preventative measures. But now that it's hit Trump country, does this start to create doubt in his base?

It's from this article in the Washington Post. Sadly I can't seem to post a link. There are more statistics and an in-depth analysis.

I don't have any sense that there's been a decline, hasn't it been worse since restrictions have lifted?

Different country, but things have definitely improved in Ottawa w/r/t new cases and fatalities. Not that we got hit that hard here.

I am astounded by what I've been seeing. Clearly, ease of restrictions = virus is gone. I've seen so many parties over the last week. YOLO

Amazing how quickly things can change. We have had a couple of quarantine fuck ups and as a result we have gone from being completely virus free to new cases.

Not that anyone was really wondering this, but John Fogerty > Sammy Hagar.
