My top 5 is ever changing on this album. I love "Limbo" but I've been grooving on Hollywood Boulevard and Heston and Sebs cover of 'Sambadrome" has made me appreciate it all the more.
Forces have been looting
My humanity
Curfews have been curbing
The end of liberty
We're the flowers in the dustbin...
No fuchsias for you.

Sightsee M.C.

My top listens on this album change pretty frequently. I'm surprised not much love for C'mon Every Beatbox. I'm not surprised Ticket doesn't get a lot of notice but it's a fun little track that gets a smile out of me.

I like the humour of "Ticket" and I guess it's on the album to break up the seriousness of it . But I think it would've made a better B-side.

The first four picked themselves easily for me, all great songs. I'm having HB at number five but it has to be the remixed version that was on the CD release. The mix on the original vinyl release was awful, absolutely weak as piss. I may have chosen Dial a Hitman for my fifth choice but it has that awful digital click going on through the song. Always thought Upping was half great/half average and not a patch on the debut.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board
Enjoyed revisiting this album today, not played it throughout for many years, bought the cassette on release and saw the tour. Not my fave BAD album but some great bits in there. Groovin' to...

Hearing echos in there of Combat Rock era Clash, more so than the first BAD album. Joe' sway and influence from behind the producer's desk?

I always get the feeling Joe's role as "producer" on this album was a bit overstated, and more a gesture of friendship from Mick. I know he tweaked some of the lyrics but I sometimes wonder what the full extent of his role was.

Agree about the gesture of friendship and hearing the high production qualities of this album I don't see Joe twidlling the knobs or pulling the levers as a 'producer'. That role can mean so many different things anyway. Maybe Joe was a sounding board for the whole thing, with a focus on tweaking some of the lyrics / subject matter.
