I was introduced to Los Fabulosos Cadillacs by Fishbone, so I was checking out this album (Rey Azúcar) when I suddenly heard Mick singing on the first track. I had to check out the album to make sure I wasn't hearing things, but what a strange and welcome bit of serendipity.

Yes I've got an album called "Hola/Chau" by them that has Mick on it I think.

Fight the Good Fight - the Interrupters, with many thanks to revbob.
I'm going to have to check this out.
Given this a few spins now. I'm quite into it though the production is a bit glossy for me. Listened to some live versions and prefer them. It's a keeper though.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board

Hello,

Ranking Roger/English Beat - Public Confidential. Pretty solid stuff but definitely more General Public than English Beat. This will get more plays than Dave Wakeling/English Beat's Here We Go Love - that's also pretty good but I'm giving Public Confidential the nod.

If you want to go post Beat the Rankin Roger version is the best.

This is amazing and haven't heard it in years, had it on 5 times during the drive home. Forgot how good that chorus is, fantastic. Shits all over that dreary cover the radio loves to play.
