Forces have been looting
My humanity
Curfews have been curbing
The end of liberty
We're the flowers in the dustbin...

Ha I was referring to the song not the TV show Rock Planet. Although I do have that clip on a bootleg compilation somewhere.Heston wrote: ↑20 Jul 2020, 4:12pmI never knew you were brought up in Holland.

True but wasn't it also the case with TOTP that a particularly bad mime, or even deliberately abysmal performance, could garner more attention than a tight, professional delivery? I don't mean Weller or the Jam particularly, just in general.

I've never seen this version of the video (the one I remember had something to do with a guy jumping off a rooftop and turning into a bird). This is spectacularly awkward looking.

When I watched this, all I could imagine was some assistant producer standing next to the camera moving and telling the lead singer (Jon Anderson?) keep moving - dance like this.... I quit after awhile - did things get better? I can't believe I interrupted the Talking Heads for this.

Not just a great song but a nice nod to Joe in the lyrics at 2:42. You see Joe in the audience at the end looking quite appreciative...

Love that. Joe was in absolutely flying form that night, rousing all the other bands to join in on I Fought The Law. Stirring stuff.

This was 5 days after I met Joe for the one and only time. So sad that both him and Warren would be gone so soon after.Low Down Low wrote: ↑27 Jul 2020, 8:09pmLove that. Joe was in absolutely flying form that night, rousing all the other bands to join in on I Fought The Law. Stirring stuff.
