I guess if I was a serious collector I'd have all five shows complete (John might have them all?).
No, I'm not a serious enough collector either! I'm sure these days you can found them online somewhere

The tin-box collection, no rare tracks, but beautiful collectibles
Those tins look better than mine, which are definitely showing their age. Have you cleaned them?
No, but I retain them in a cardboard box
Music is the only thing that matters

Collector madness!!!
There are 3 x 2 Tone singles released on a ‘blue‘ 2 Tone label as well as the traditional paper and silver injection moulded.
They weren’t intentionally released as blue label it was a manufacturing issue so they actually have no ‘official’ release value.
As a completist I’d like to have them but as part of an official collection don’t need them.
Been watching this one on EBay and it sold for £255.67!!!
One sold in January for £19 😔

Can’t help myself.
I have a copy of The Bodysnatchers single Lets Do Rocksteady (catalogue CHSTT 9) on the traditional 2 Tone paper label and I also have a copy on the plastic injection moulded label.
Now I have bought a 3rd copy labelled as People Do Rocksteady

Of any interest to you 101W? A Two Tone 8CD release. A lot cheaper than that blue label single!

I really admire your absolutely insanely detailed devotion to collecting every possible variant the 2-tone label every pressed, Wally. It's incredibly cool in the record geekiest way possible.

Not sure if you are taking the piss or not 😊however if you have any OCD it is great to collect something that has clear parameters . I know some people who collect any 2 Tone records however that also includes an infinite number of overseas pressings and imports etc.. I couldn't cope with collecting something that doesn’t have a finish or at least a possible finish.

Yes that is another nice 40th anniversary release from 2 Tone and great value for money. Shame there isn’t a vinyl option.

No, I'm being serious, it's pretty cool. I did a much more modest project like yours with a record label, but it only ever put out a few releases. I had a nice sense of satisfaction when I found the records of been looking for and had 'em all together.

Didn't realise that was a Costello production too. Far better sound than the debut.

My main collection is the 2 Tone records catalogue on vinyl. I only collect the UK issues not imports etc.
I am trying to ‘complete’ the 7” collection and whilst I do have a copy of every official release there are a few rarities I want/need including:

On silver plastic injection moulded label
TT1 The Specials - Gangsters
TT14 The Swinging Cats - Montovani (very very rare)

On blue plastic injection moulded label
TT3 Madness - The Prince
TT4 The Selector - On My Radio
TT17 The Specials - Ghost Town

Promo only issues
TTP1 The Specials - Rudie & Ghost Town / Madness - One Step / Selector - Radio
TT100 Special AKA - What I Like Most About You (different release to TT27 single issue)

The albums are much easier to find and cheaper but also interested in completing the 12” singles.
Sadly none of these are available on Discogs at the moment.
