I wouldn't call it intense. But I've just never liked her. I first remember her from the programme "A Kick Up the 80s". Which was great but I never found her funny at all. She just doesn't appeal. Her music was ok "Breakaway" and "Terry" were good songs but I don't like the sound of her voice.

ELECTION SCANDAL / HESTON FOUND GUILTY OF FRAUD / "STUPID GIRL" DECLARED WINNER
Went thru all the lp/cassette versions on discogs, and "They Don't Know" is either Side 2, Track 3 (usually) or Side 1, Track 2. It is hereby disqualified and "Stupid Girl" is declared the winner. Get yourself a good lawyer, Heston.

So glad now I didn't waste any time writing pages and pages on the virtues of "Stupid Girl". I only hope that all the entries thus far have been checked thoroughly.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑31 Aug 2020, 4:31pmELECTION SCANDAL / HESTON FOUND GUILTY OF FRAUD / "STUPID GIRL" DECLARED WINNER

Was there a vinyl counterpart though. If not it's not relevant. I couldn't find any vinyl edition where it's track 2.101Walterton wrote: ↑31 Aug 2020, 4:44pmTDK was track 8 on an 11 track CD album You Broke My Heart in 17 Places which would make it side 2 track 2 on an vinyl album release:

7b. Vinyl or cassette track listings are the standard sources. If there is no vinyl or cassette version, “side two” will consider tracks 7–12 on the cd version. Also see #7f.
7f. In any dispute over track listing eligibility or whether a release is cd-only, discogs.com will be the standard for confirmation. If you think your source is cd-only, check there before nominating.

CD's only count if there's no vinyl or cassette release. Those are always the preferred format. And it's not S2T2 on any vinyl/cassette edition on discogs.101Walterton wrote: ↑31 Aug 2020, 4:44pmTDK was track 8 on an 11 track CD album You Broke My Heart in 17 Places which would make it side 2 track 2 on an vinyl album release:

Heston's already nominated it for S2T3, for which it is still eligible. Whether people want to vote for it is another matter.

I always assume good faith by nominators. I'm not going to check people's songs, but will do the legwork if questions are raised. I mean, c'mon, man, the snark ain't deserved here.Marky Dread wrote: ↑31 Aug 2020, 4:40pmSo glad now I didn't waste any time writing pages and pages on the virtues of "Stupid Girl". Rules state track 8 on CD album is side 2 track 2.
