Thanks so much for the Wisemen the other day. Lots of potential there, he just needed a collaborator as good as Fearnley or Finer and those songs could have kicked up to 8/10s.

Yeah my feelings exactly.

WTF is Spider up to these days. I hate thinking of the talent Shane wasted and now seemingly Spider too but perhaps for different reasons.

Speaking of Fearnley has anyone heard his stuff?

Spider plays with a pretty decent New Orleans band called the Lost Bayou Ramblers on occasion and, I think, plays a lot of football games on the PlayStation.

Happy to oblige. That sort of thing was my main focus for a bit.

Spider met the Lost Bayou Ramblers in New Orleans where he lives and they formed a band/project called Poguetry. More details in this article and you can hear a session they did for radio. I was planning to see them in March but the band cancelled the last three shows due to the first rounds of Covid.

Thanks for the clip. I hadn’t seen that.

Speaking of The Pogues...the new documentary on Shane
Crock of Gold is released in 3 weeks and apparently will
be shown in some theaters in the US. I suppose the theaters that don’t have restrictions imposed so the list
could change up until the day. More details on the film below and list of theaters. I’m hoping to see it but will
require a good bit of driving.

My friend mentioned the show Treme to me, which Id never heard of he mentioned Steve Earle and Spider were in it as well as a tin of other musicians.

Id love to go see Crock of Gold but travelling to any of these places right now aint gonna happen and I expect theaters will be closing up again in a lot of these states.

The annual FONY kerfuffle has broken out early this season. This seems as good a way of dealing with it as any.

I've muted "Fairytale" on twitter, I'm so bored of the discussion.

Very sensible. It's not even a discussion anymore, just wankers using it as a cipher to push other nefarious causes. It is incredibly boring for sure.

I didn't even realise a video for How Come existed until today, just been uploaded. The band are having fun and I always thought this was a solid cover...
