Yeah, like, how many non-KISS fans / general music dorks could name three of their songs after Dynasty? They just killed time for a decade and half before they could become a nostalgia act and really amp up the marketing-venture-disguised-as-a-band gimmick.

Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

Re: The KISS thread
For my Covid sins...
Day One
Peter Criss - Peter Criss (1978)
1. "I'm Gonna Love You" Ridiculously bad opening track.
2. "You Matter to Me" One of the first singles I bought, I still like this in a creepy disco kind of way.
3. "Tossin' and Turnin'" This has a legitimately catchy chorus and sounds a bit like Dr Hook.
4. "Don't You Let Me Down" This is not objectively awful, sounds like a Double Fantasy outtake.
5. "That's the Kind of Sugar Papa Likes" Again quite harmless, I would enjoy this in a strip bar in Durango.
6. "Easy Thing" This reminds me again of John Lennon but blandly executed.
7. "Rock Me, Baby" Horrific, just awful.
8. "Kiss the Girl Goodbye" Utter shit.
9. "Hooked on Rock 'n' Roll" Any song with the line, "I was vaccinated with a Victrola needle" deserves respect but this is shit.
10. "I Can't Stop the Rain" As bad as it sounds, the vocal is terrible.

There's something appropriate that these songs don't merit more than a dozen words of assessment.

So did he get hooked because he was vaccinated or did he get vaccinated because he was hooked? Ive never heard of anyone being hooked on a vaccine ...
