The Mark Trail Thread of Punching Justice and Smug Life Lessons
Re: The Mark Trail Thread of Punching Justice and Smug Life Lessons
Well, the giant beavers are creepy. Apart from that, still the dullest thing I ever read. Like Mark, the plot isn't going anywhere.
As I recall, Flash Gordon was pretty dull too. Or maybe that was just the soundtrack.

Flash Gordon would have been a lot wilder in the context of the 1930s and sci-fi's limited development. And greater tolerance for "yellow peril" slurs.

This might be the most awful/boring story arc in the history of comic strips. I think it's time to bring back Harvey Camel.revbob wrote: ↑07 Oct 2020, 8:24amGood point, Mark might have to go see if he can get a job with Streams and Swamps magazine, or he will be known around Woods and Wildlife as Bill Ellis' BitchDr. Medulla wrote: ↑07 Oct 2020, 7:55amAlso, no, Mark, you don't have a job. You quit, remember? It's up to you to ask them for your job back. Good luck flashing your award around at Burger King.revbob wrote: ↑07 Oct 2020, 7:33am
Mark, its your editor "Bill Ellis". That name gets thrown out there a lot in this strip. Like the last name needs to be stressed all the time.
...meanwhile the giant beavers ready to mount their attack.
Also Doc thinks Bill Rivers should have won for his article in the mating habits of bog salamanders.

I have fears that in a way we will. That is, Mark is going to be transformed into a nature blogger and eco-influencer.WestwayKid wrote: ↑07 Oct 2020, 11:40amThis might be the most awful/boring story arc in the history of comic strips. I think it's time to bring back Harvey Camel.

Probably will need to change the title of this thread too as I doubt there will be any more punching. I think the smugness will still be there just a different type.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑07 Oct 2020, 11:55amI have fears that in a way we will. Mark, like a true American, monetizes the esteem granted by his peers.

So this will be the end of the old timey stories. We switch to Millennial Mark Trail next week I think.Dr. Medulla wrote: ↑09 Oct 2020, 8:24am

Yeah, right, Cherry. They "captured" the wild dogs and then tested them for rabies. Also, Mark completely shifts to egotist mode. What happened this week? Apparently not almost losing Andy. Or gaining a sinister cat.
