Just watched Trump on the lunchtime news.

I feel like that lorry driver who saw the Sex Pistols on the Today show in 1976.

Ha! I have a friend whose wife works for Canada's foreign affairs department and is stationed in the US. Part of her job involved watching the "debates" thus far and taking notes. I told him whatever her salary is, it's not enough to have to sit thru that sewage.

I have no moral qualms over wishing death on a predatory monster. Some people's actions, over and over, as a way of life, demonstrate they don't deserve to share society with everyone else.

I can't see us being allowed to leave this country for at least the next 18 months. We're no longer welcome damn near anywhere. I see these lemmings packing into the local expo center to see this guy's sideshow and just think... fuck 'em, I hope they get it.

Yep just feels like the blind leading the blind mate. Although in this case Trumps arrogance is going to kill a lot of silly people. Ignoring the stats is so dumb.

Today, I've accepted that Biden has a better than evens chance of winning and I'm happy as hell about it.

I'm just waiting for him to have a heart attack and die because it's been that kind of year.
Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

That's pessimistic. A stroke is far more likely.

Indeed. Like, the day before Election Day, just for maximum confusion and traction for illegitimacy claims.

The various poll aggregator places that run sims generally have Biden winning the popular vote, like, 99%+ of the time and the EC around 85% of the time. Of course, that ignores electoral fraud and other duplicity when it comes to counting the votes.

It's the latter stuff that I've always felt would ensure Trump's victory.

If he "wins," it'll be thru outright fraud, with allies in state legislatures nullifying votes and the like. And it would be the end of any semblance of democracy and presumably martial law declared.
