"First Night Back in London" is underrated.

Sorry, the worst of the three CR singles for me. Never had any fondness for it at all.

I dont care much for it's narrative but musically I really like it. Same with "Cool Confusion".

Those vocals at the start put me off instantly.

Interesting question. Funnily enough, it seems there is a character in the Angelique novels called Claude Le Petit (apparently named after a real person) who is referred to as the "Gutter-Poet" (Poete Crotte in the French original).

There you go. Was Joe a closet Angelique fan?

This was roughly cobbled together but I wish they'd done it with this arrangement rather than the plodding electronic reggae...

I had a go at this around the time HW10 came out and someone on the board (who presumably missed the part where I said this was my own homemade attempt) responded with something along the lines of "This is so obviously an amateur job by an anonymous hack, you can tell because the tempo doesn't line up. Not worth listening to." Thus ended my career as an audio engineer.

It's nigh on impossible to synch them up perfectly, they were recorded at different tempos, but it can give you the feel of how it could have sounded.
