Mark is more excited about finally receiving one of these pieces of electronic mail that he's heard so much about. Now, to use quill and ink well to transcribe it to parchment!
The new Mark looks like a blithering idiot. I prefer the old smug Mark.

I'm trying to stay patient to see what the first storyline is about. But right now my inclination is for them to just run old strips that we can mock. At least that demands something of the audience. This is shaping up to be bland and passive.

I'd be totally in for that. Mark learning how to be a vlogger, much less so.

So are we to surmise that Mark is so clean cut that 1 day of visible stubble is enough to elicit that "Great Scott what happened to your face?" reaction from Bill Ellis?

Bill—or Bill Ellis to his friends—is a stand-in for all the old readers that the new creator wants to dispense with.

If his glasses were still blue-tinted, he'd flop over from the added weight.
