Released on December 3rd, 1965...which means it will be 55 years old tomorrow. Rubber Soul was their 2nd LP (after A Hard Day's Night) that didn't include any cover material.

Michelle gets my vote. It's too lightweight and the other songs on this side are really strong (in my opinion).

I will be voting for Michelle next round. I only kept it this round because we used to tease our friend Michelle by singing "Michelle, you smell." Also, I don't like The Word.

Was torn between The Word and Michelle, both pretty dire. Went with Michelle.

Drive My Car is the grooviest they ever got, not sure what is wrong with people.

We'll ride this plane down together, man. McCartney is so often dancing on the corny line of things, and on this one it doesn't especially work for me.

The Word - Michelle - What Goes On - Girl is the worst four song run of the band's career. This is what stops Rubber Soul being a classic album for me.
