Re: Unseen Clash Footage From Don Letts
Where does the Snyder info come from? I just assumed a Mag 7 promo video finally arriving 40 years later.
There's a tiny, tiny hopeful part of me that says you guys are running a Kaufmanesque long con on the board
Re: Unseen Clash Footage From Don Letts
It said that in an email I got from the official website.
Strangely there was more info in the email than on the website!

"Tune in on Friday 11th December 17:00 GMT to see the brand new Magnificent Seven video by film-maker Don Letts, featuring the band performing the song live on The Tomorrow Show with Tom Snyder (a late-night New York chat show) cut with previously unseen film of the group in and around New York and during their legendary 17-night residency at Bond’s International Casino, near Times Square.
There’ll be a Q + A with Don Letts at the same time!"

Cheers lads. I hope they've synched the audio on the Snyder footage.

Jesus, they couldn't use something from the June 9th performance (8th would have been incredible, but that's probably less appropriate for promo)?laxman wrote: ↑10 Dec 2020, 3:38pm"Tune in on Friday 11th December 17:00 GMT to see the brand new Magnificent Seven video by film-maker Don Letts, featuring the band performing the song live on The Tomorrow Show with Tom Snyder (a late-night New York chat show) cut with previously unseen film of the group in and around New York and during their legendary 17-night residency at Bond’s International Casino, near Times Square.

Look, you have to establish context for these things. And I maintain that unless you appreciate the Fall of Constantinople, the Great Fire of London, and Mickey Mantle's fatalist alcoholism, live Freddy makes no sense. If you want to half-ass it, fine, go call Simon Schama to do the appendix.

I've got a meeting then, but I'll follow up right after.

Decent enough. Some good Bonds footage, but i didn't want it to end.
Re: Unseen Clash Footage From Don Letts
Summary: Snyder footage synced to Mag 7, intercut with some new NY clips.
I wasn't listening through the best speakers, but it sounded like the single mix plus a bit of the album version's extended outro (fading before "fucking long").
Neat.
